About the author

Hanna Bahedry is a writer and editor from Los Angeles.

She studied creative writing and social, cultural, and critical theory at Wesleyan University, where she received the Horgan Prize.

Her fiction and comics have been published by always crashing, the Maine Review, and AHOY Comics. She is the recipient of the 1st place prize for Writer’s Digest’s 2025 Short Short Story Competition.

Hanna currently works as a publicist for Superfan Promotions. She has previously worked as a proofreader, book editor, copywriter, scriptwriter, researcher, manuscript reader, ghostwriter, and bookseller. She currently lives in her hometown with her plastic swans, Buster and Lucille.
